White Night

Madrid, Spain

Did you know white flowers are the most visible at night? This garden celebrates elegance in pure simplicity: white tones surrounded by fresh green. All plants are in pots reminiscent of pale travertine marble. Grey slate mulch protects plants from evaporation and suppresses weeds.

Five-meter-tall white Banksia roses cover the existing concrete structure, providing immediate shade. Aromatic plants dominate terraces alongside white flowers: myrtle, white lavender, sweet alyssum, vinca, roses, abelia, among others—a combination of 13 flowering species (10 aromatic), ensuring year-round bloom. All plants are perennial and maintain good winter appearance. Climbers like ivy, jasmine, roses, and Solanum climb custom diamond-shaped metal supports made of stainless steel, resilient to weather. Colours and geometric patterns of paving, walls, vertical supports, and pergolas harmonize with pots and interior spaces, creating seamless continuity between architecture, interior, and exterior.
