A public sensory park with exceptional therapeutic potential due to its health-promoting properties. This initiative not only enriches the experience of those visiting the garden but also contributes to the city\u2019s sustainability and well-being, aligning with European and national trends and objectives in green infrastructure. Mitigating climate change through Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and integrating the park with Marbella\u2019s broader green infrastructure are the two fundamental principles of the gardens on C\/ Valentu\u00f1ana, 5, Marbella \u2014 the city\u2019s first public park designed to maximise the ecosystem services provided by urban trees.<\/p>\n

Renaturalising the garden, promoting biodiversity, improving residents\u2019 quality of life through its therapeutic benefits, offering a pleasant space for enjoyment, and reducing the high summer temperatures through increased vegetation are just some of the advantages of these gardens. Additionally, the design carefully addresses issues such as allergies, odours, and waste (the so-called disservices).<\/p>\n

To achieve the park\u2019s renaturalisation, over 3,150 resilient plants have been planted, providing vibrant flowering and fruit that attract birds. Biodiversity has been enhanced with 46 plant species, 30 of which offer spectacular blooms, such as Podranea<\/em>, Callistemon<\/em>, and Rosa<\/em> \u2018Iceberg\u2019. This includes 1,000 bulbs that will naturalise in the soil and create a colourful autumnal carpet, including the native Sierra de Grazalema species Sternbergia lutea<\/em>. The result is a low-maintenance Mediterranean-Tropical garden that awakens all five senses of its visitors.<\/p>\n

Parque p\u00fablico sensorial con un potencial terap\u00e9utico excepcional debido a sus propiedades saludables. Esta iniciativa no solo enriquece la experiencia de quienes visitan el jard\u00edn, sino que tambi\u00e9n contribuye a la sostenibilidad y salud de la ciudad, aline\u00e1ndose con las tendencias y objetivos europeos y nacionales, en el \u00e1mbito de la infraestructura verde. Mitigar el cambio clim\u00e1tico a trav\u00e9s de Soluciones basadas en la Naturaleza (SbN) e integrar el parque con el resto de la Infraestructura Verde de Marbella, son las dos premisas fundamentales de los jardines de la C\/ Valentu\u00f1ana, 5, de Marbella, el primer parque p\u00fablico de Marbella pensado y dise\u00f1ado para maximizar los servicios ecosist\u00e9micos que nos aporta el arbolado urbano.<\/p>

Renaturalizar el jard\u00edn, fomentar el incremento de la biodiversidad, mejorar la calidad de vida de los vecinos a trav\u00e9s de los beneficios terap\u00e9uticos que puede proporcionar su uso, disfrutar del jard\u00edn o reducir las elevadas temperaturas que se producen en verano mediante el incremento de vegetaci\u00f3n, son algunas bondades de estos jardines. Adem\u00e1s, en su dise\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n se han tenido en cuenta los problemas de alergias, olores y residuos (los llamados diservicios).<\/p>

Para llevar a cabo la renaturalizaci\u00f3n del parque, se han plantado m\u00e1s de 3150 plantas resilientes que aportan una vistosa floraci\u00f3n y frutos que atraen aves, y se ha fomentado la biodiversidad mediante la plantaci\u00f3n de 46 especies vegetales, de las que 30 presentan una floraci\u00f3n espectacular, como la Podranea<\/em>, el Callistemon.<\/em> o la Rosa<\/em> \u2018Iceberg\u2019. Esto incluye la plantaci\u00f3n de 1000 bulbos que acabar\u00e1n naturalizados en el suelo y formar\u00e1n una alfombra de colores que florecer\u00e1 cada oto\u00f1o, entre ellos la especie aut\u00f3ctona de la Sierra de Grazalema Sternbergia Lutea<\/em>. El resultado es un jard\u00edn de estilo Mediterr\u00e1neo-Tropical, de bajo mantenimiento, que despierta los cinco sentidos del visitante.<\/p>
